About the Event
What is the Global Craic 10K?
The Global Craic 10K is a St Patrick’s Day participation event rooted in Belfast and shared across the world. Participants run or walk 10 kilometres anywhere and take part during the event window between 14–22 March 2026, joining a shared global Irish celebration.
Is this a race or a competition?
No. The Global Craic 10K is not a competitive race. There are no rankings, prizes, or public results. It’s about participation, community, and giving something back.
When does the event take place?
The Global Craic 10K takes place between 14–22 March 2026.
You can complete your 10K on any day during this period, at a time that suits you.
Where can I take part?
Anywhere — roads, parks, trails, tracks, or a treadmill. You choose the route that works best for you.
Registration
How do I register?
Register online via the Enter Global Craic 10K page. Once you’ve completed registration, your participant account is created automatically.
What does my entry include?
Your entry includes:
Participation in the Global Craic 10K
Access to your participant dashboard
Ability to submit proof or self-certify your run
An official Global Craic 10K participation certificate
Support for a children’s cancer charity
Do I need an account?
Yes — but you don’t need to create one manually. Your account is created automatically after you register, and you’ll receive your login details by email.
Submitting Your Run
How do I submit my run?
Log in to your account and go to Submit Your Run. You can upload simple proof or self-certify that you’ve completed the 10K.
What counts as acceptable proof?
You may upload:
A screenshot from a running or fitness app showing distance
A photo of a treadmill display showing 10K completed
A GPS-based app screenshot
Your name does not need to appear on the image.
What if I don’t upload proof?
You can choose to self-certify your completion instead. The Global Craic 10K is built on trust and participation.
What if my distance is slightly over 10K?
That’s absolutely fine. As long as you complete at least 10 kilometres, your submission is valid.
Charity
Which charity does the Global Craic 10K support?
The official Charity Partner is Cancer Fund for Children, which supports children, young people, and families affected by cancer across Ireland.
How much of my entry goes to charity?
$1 from every entry is donated to Cancer Fund for Children.
Certificates
What certificate do I receive?
Every participant who completes the Global Craic 10K receives an official participation certificate.
Is my certificate public?
No. Your certificate is private to you and available through your account.
Technical Questions
I didn’t receive my login email — what should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it’s still missing, contact us and we’ll resend it.
What file types can I upload?
Accepted formats:

Maximum file size: 5MB
I uploaded the wrong screenshot — can I change it?
Yes. You can resubmit or replace your upload at any time.
